I am a work in progress. A rough draft. I long for a place not-quite-yet while being (sorta) content with life as it is. I'm serious about Jesus and I'm serious about myself while somehow trying not to take myself too, well, seriously.
I like my friends. A lot. I am a junkie for smart people and quick-wits, though I am not particularly quick-witted myself.
I am a (closet) hermit trapped in the life of a social butterfly. The few people people to whom i have divulged the un-abridged(ish) version of my life say “you know, you should really write a book.” Hmmm…
I love dancing (mostly Lindy Hop and Blues) and I love a good lead. I like how much i can learn about someone through a dance with them, trying to keep in check all that i can't.
Trying to live it well while today is still today. Failing. Trying again. Meanwhile, I work for a small Christian non-profit that does holistic ministry in urban poor slums in LA and inter-nationally. I like it a lot in theory. I fluctuate in my love for it in practice.

The older i get the more i realize that whether i like it or not, in my hands, as in the hands of us each, i hold the seeds of my own destruction. And i also hold seeds with potential to bless myself and others. Each day, it would seem, i awake with the ability to destroy or to bless… the greatest challenge sometimes is remembering that i it is a choice i must make–i can't live by default and hope for good. I must seek it, practice it, live it actively.
